Built to endure

From the age of 11 until the conception of my son, I experienced extremely painful menstrual cramps. I passed out twice as a teenager from this pain. Then, after giving birth to my son, surprisingly I no longer had cramps. (I never had fibroids or anything medically related that caused these cramps). I think it took 3 years before I ever experienced any menstrual cramps again after his birth. It would happen maybe once or twice a year from then on.

I gave birth to both children unmedicated, and it was by far the worst pain of my life. 10X worse than the menstrual cramps, but the exact type of pain.

Point is, to me, I was being trained to endure pain from the earliest years of my life. My pain tolerance isn't high, but I like to think that I am built to endure painful things. Do I like pain, absolutely not, but I've learned to endure, when its understood that greater awaits on the other side. I understand that endurance through pain builds you in ways that reflect what it may be like suffering for Christ sake, and having a mind to endure to the end.

I said all of that to say, pain is inevitable after the fall of Adam and Eve. We can not run from pain no matter what we do in this life. If you spend your whole life running from pain, you risk losing the opportunity to grow, and/or become who you are under God. Paul mentions in Romans 5: 3-5 that,“We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope…” Then in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 it says, "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me…For when I am weak, then am I strong.”

This suggest to us that pain is a way for us to have hope in the one who made it all possible through Jesus Christ, and it reminds us that we will always need help from God's Team as we journey through this life. Pain is like the thorn in our flesh that keeps us humble, always depending on God to guide us through life and most definitely the more painful times. It's like God wants us to always need him, understanding that after the way was lost, we would always need Him, as we are a evil hearted people and without Him., we will be consumed by that evil.

So, thank God for pain, and remember always where our help comes from. Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you… For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” We don't get rest but through Jesus, and we can't reach the Father but through His only begotten son. Take heed and look to God and His team in pain and in joy, and understand that if you endure to the end, you may be saved(whatever that mean😏)❤️

God is our Father forever, and He seems to want to Father us like little children forever. EXCEPT THAT, and allow Him and/or his team to make us strong when we are weak from pain or suffering in any aspect of life☺️

Happy G.I. Saturday💕
